About Me

My name is Stephen McCrea.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. After a nearly 14 year career in the Navy, I was ready for my next challenge, and began to consider the ways in which I could best help others. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brandman University in 2014 and my Masters degree in Psychology from Brandman University in 2019.  

I have been counseling individuals and families seeking recovery from anxiety, depression, trauma, and various other mental health diagnosis. I have worked with diverse populations and believe in treating the individual in an effort to improve quality of life and sense of self, while also working to decrease the impact of symptoms experienced by the client.

What To Expect At Your Visit

Our first few sessions will consist of gathering relevant information required to tailor a unique treatment approach to your individual needs. I use tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Common Elements Treatment Approach, and Motivational Interviewing to provide structure for how we will begin to move towards healing with these evidence-based practices.
